Ushnotar Golpo – 2025
Ushnotar Golpo 2025 is a humanitarian winter initiative organized by Sanskaran Foundation. The campaign is built on a simple belief that a single warm garment can bring comfort dignity and hope to someone facing the harsh winter on the streets of Bangladesh. This timeline blog documents the journey from community collection to heartfelt distribution.
26 December 2025 Winter Clothes Collection in Rupnagar Dhaka
On 26 December a winter clothes collection booth was set up at Road No 23 Rupnagar Residential Area Dhaka from 11 am to 3 pm. Residents responded with overwhelming enthusiasm and donated blankets sweaters jackets shawls and clean wearable clothes for children adults and the elderly.
Every contribution reflected empathy and community spirit. The Rupnagar neighborhood proved that collective action can create meaningful change during the coldest days of the year.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the residents of Rupnagar for their spontaneous and generous participation. Along with clothing donations many well-wishers also helped with logistical and accessory related costs. Their cooperation and encouragement became a major source of motivation for our volunteers. All collected clothes were carefully sorted by age group to ensure respectful and efficient distribution. This preparation set the foundation for the next phase of Ushnotar Golpo 2025.
27 December 2025, Mirpur - From Donations to Smiles
On 27 December the collected winter clothes reached people in need. Several moments from this day left a lasting impression.
Passersby who witnessed the distribution felt inspired and donated the jackets or sweaters they were wearing. Many stayed to see the recipients smile as they put on the donated clothes. A child receiving clothes for his mother expressed pure joy. Even slightly used garments brought smiles that felt like a festival day to those who received them.
These small moments captured the true spirit of Ushnotar Golpo 2025 and reminded us that kindness multiplies when shared.
30 December 2025 Kamalapur Railway Station Outreach
On 30 December Ushnotar Golpo 2025 continued at Kamalapur Railway Station where many people spend nights under open skies fighting the cold. From children to elderly individuals everyone was included in this outreach.
Some showed relief in their eyes while others offered quiet smiles of gratitude. A shy smile from a child after wearing a new sweater and the trembling hands of an elderly person holding a jacket became powerful reminders of why this work matters.
From Mirpur to Kamalapur A Shared Journey
Building on earlier efforts in Mirpur and continuing through Kamalapur this year Ushnotar Golpo 2025 stands as a collective achievement. Donors volunteers and local communities came together to share warmth dignity and hope.
Each donated item carried a simple message that no one is alone in winter.
