Flood Relief Support Program – Kurigram, 2022
Floods often displace families and create urgent needs for food, medicine, and other essential supplies. Many affected people struggle to meet basic daily requirements during such disasters. To address this, Sanskaran Foundation participated in a Flood Relief Support Program to provide emergency assistance and essential supplies to flood-affected families in Kurigram.
The program was conducted from 27 to 30 June 2022 in Jatrapur, Chilmari, and Nageshwari, Kurigram. Sanskaran Foundation worked as a volunteer assistance organization in collaboration with the Dhaka University Business Community, Ilisher Bari, I-Education, and Amader Hajiganj. Over 350 emergency relief packages were prepared and distributed to affected families. Each package included 16 essential items such as rice, lentils, oil, salt, potatoes, onions, puffed rice, flattened rice, medicines, saline, sanitary pads, mosquito coils, candles, matches, and 5 liters of safe drinking water, ensuring immediate support for families in need.
