Amar Mask, Amar Surokkha – Awareness Campaign 2022
COVID-19 posed a serious health risk, and proper mask usage was essential to prevent its spread. However, many people were either unaware of the correct way to wear a mask or lacked access to masks. To address this, Sanskaran Foundation organized the “Amar Mask, Amar Surokkha” awareness campaign, aimed at promoting proper mask usage and distributing free masks to ensure community safety.
The campaign took place in Mirpur, Dhaka, from 05 to 07 February 2022 in Ward 13, and again from 09 to 11 March 2022 in Mirpur-10. Volunteers engaged with passersby, shopkeepers, and local residents, promoting correct mask-wearing practices to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Approximately 200 masks were distributed free of charge each day to individuals in need.
Awareness messages were actively shared in key areas, including Mirpur Model Thana, the Post Office, 60 Feet Road, Monipur High School, Hope International School, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
